The Mac-Native Alternative to Sensor Tower.
Sensor Tower sells market intelligence to companies with research budgets. Asoly answers one question for one developer: where does my app rank for my keywords today?
Sensor Tower estimates the downloads and revenue of apps that are not yours. That is valuable to investors and large publishers, and largely irrelevant if you already have your own numbers in App Store Connect. The number you do not have is your search position, per keyword, per country, over time. Asoly measures exactly that, from your own Mac, and tells you when it moves.

Why Indie Founders Choose Asoly
Nothing to negotiate
No demo call, no procurement, no annual commitment. You download Asoly from getasoly.com, add your app, add keywords, done.
Your data stays on your Mac
Apps, keywords and history live in a local database. There is no Asoly account, so there is no Asoly server holding your keyword strategy.
A menu bar, not a dashboard
Status, last update and the biggest moves of the day sit in the menu bar. The full window is one click away when you actually want it.
Market estimates are not the number you are missing
Sensor Tower is known for modelling downloads and revenue across the whole store. Those models matter when you are valuing a competitor or sizing a category.
As the developer of your own app you already have exact download, retention and revenue figures in App Store Connect, for free. What App Store Connect does not tell you is where you appear when somebody searches your core term in the German store.
That gap is the entire scope of Asoly. It reads the store’s own search results for your keywords, keeps one measurement per day, and shows you the line.
The honest limits
No search volume. Apple publishes none. Asoly derives a popularity estimate from the order of Apple’s autocomplete suggestions and labels it as an estimate wherever it appears. Exact figures need the Apple Search Ads connection, which is on the roadmap.
No tracking while the Mac is off. There is no server, which is why there is no account and no per-seat pricing. Asoly catches up when the Mac wakes and leaves the missed days visible as gaps.
iPhone rankings only. iPad and Mac search results differ, and guessing them would be worse than not showing them. Positions beyond rank 100 are noisy in the store’s own response, so Asoly treats them as uncertain and sends no notifications from there.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Asoly replace Sensor Tower?
Only for one part of it. If you need keyword rank tracking and history for your own apps, yes. If you need download and revenue estimates for apps you do not own, no — Asoly does not produce those numbers at all.
Why is Asoly so much cheaper?
There is no server. Every copy of Asoly fetches rankings from the user’s own Mac, so the cost of running the product is close to zero and the price reflects that rather than an enterprise sales team.
Are all countries included?
Yes. All 115 App Store storefronts are included in both tiers, and an app can be tracked in several of them at once.
