Support
Almost everything that goes wrong with Asoly goes wrong at the licence key. The cases below cover it. If none of them fits, write — info@baer-solutions.com reaches one person, and that person built the app.
The key never arrived
The key is emailed the moment the checkout goes through, including during the free trial — it is valid from that point on, not from the first payment. If it is not in your inbox:
- Look in spam and in any „Promotions“ tab. It is an automated email from a payment provider, which is exactly what filters like to catch.
- Search your mail for Asoly or Lemon Squeezy rather than scrolling. The sender is Lemon Squeezy, not getasoly.com.
- Check the address you typed at checkout. A typo there sends the key somewhere that does not exist.
- Still nothing: open https://app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders, enter that email address and sign in with the link they send. The order and the key are there.
The key is already active on another Mac
A licence is for one Mac. If the key is still held by a machine you used before, the new one refuses it — in the app the message is about the key already being in use.
Release it on the old Mac first: Asoly › Settings › General › Deactivate this Mac. Then enter the key on the new one and it activates straight away. Nothing is lost on the old Mac either — the tracked history stays in its database.
No longer have that Mac? See the next point.
My old Mac is gone — broken, sold, or wiped
Then nobody can press „Deactivate this Mac“ on it any more, and the key stays bound to a machine that no longer exists. That is not something you can fix from the new Mac, and it is not something you did wrong — hardware dies and Macs get sold. It happens often enough to have a routine.
Write to info@baer-solutions.com with the email address you used at checkout and a line saying the old Mac is gone. The activation gets released by hand from our side, and you will hear back when it is done. After that the key activates on the new Mac normally.
„That licence key was not recognised“
The server did not find that key at all, which in practice means it arrived slightly wrong:
- Copy it out of the email instead of typing it. Keys are long and mostly random.
- A trailing space picked up by the copy counts as part of the key. So does a line break when the email wrapped it.
- Take the whole key including the hyphens, not just one block.
- Make sure it is the Asoly key and not one from another purchase in the same mailbox.
Asoly needs the network for this one check. If the Mac was offline, the message is a different one — it says the licence server could not be reached, and it tries again by itself.
„This subscription has ended“
The subscription was cancelled, or a payment did not go through. The key is still yours; it is the subscription behind it that stopped. The customer portal shows which of the two it was, and a failed card can be replaced there.
Until then Asoly runs on the free tier: one app, five keywords, manual refresh, seven days of history, no alerts. Nothing you tracked is lost — the database sits on your Mac, not on a server.
What Asoly needs to run
macOS 15.0 or newer, on Apple Silicon or Intel. Older macOS versions are not supported, and the app will not install on them.
Writing to us
info@baer-solutions.com. It helps to include the email address you bought with, the first four characters of the key, and what the app said, word for word. Never send the whole key.
Questions about what Asoly measures and how, rather than about a key, are answered on the FAQ.
